France U19 win second game of NZ tour

The France under-19 side picked up the second win on their tour of New Zealand with a 28-18 victory over the Waikato under-20 team on Monday.

After defeating the Canterbury Invitation XIII 32-28 last Friday, the touring side travelled to Ngaruawahia ahead of their matches against New Zealand 18s and Auckland 19s.

France trailed 16-12 at half time, despite Waikato winger Arama Moana spending 10 minutes in the sin bin.

They turned it around in the second half, running in three tries, which included a double to Pierre Fourquet.

The tourists now turn their attention to New Zealand 18s, who they face in Rotorua on Thursday, October 3.
