The Australian Rugby League Commission has today confirmed the date and times for this year’s men’s and women’s Under-19 Origin fixtures.

Broadcast live on Fox Sports and the Nine Network, the games will kick off the representative weekend on Thursday June 23 at Leichhardt Oval.

The ARLC also announced a new selection rule, with each side permitted to select two NRL/NRLW contracted under-20s players as their “marquee” players.

The men’s Under-19 Origin will be the first game in that age format since 2007, before it was moved to an under-18 format in 2008.

The women played their first Under-19 Origin last year on the Sunshine Coast, with New South Wales winning 16–12.
