The Canberra Raiders under-20 side opened their CRRL Cup campaign with a 28–16 win over the Woden Valley Rams on Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders, who are playing in Canberra’s first grade competition due to the cancellation of the Jersey Flegg Cup, were playing their first game of the year.

Only one round was played in the Jersey Flegg before it’s cancellation, with the Raiders having a bye.

The Raiders came from behind to defeat the Rams at Phillip Oval, thanks in part to a Man of the Match performance from halfback Jordan Williams.

Their next game is against the Queanbeyan Blues at Seiffert Oval on Saturday, August 1.
