Canberra Raiders 34 def. Warriors 16
A dominant final 25 minutes saw Canberra defeat the Warriors and continue their four-game unbeaten run. The Warriors led 16-12 after 42 minutes before the Raiders turned it on, running in four unanswered tries, including a double to Tom Robertson. The win puts Canberra four points clear of the eighth placed Warriors.

Wests Tigers 34 def. Manly Sea Eagles 14
The Tigers welcomed back a number of Canterbury Cup players in their big win over Manly. NRL development players Dylan Smith, Kane Bradley, Jock Madden and Alex Seyfarth all lined up for Wests, with Smith scoring two tries and Madden scoring one and kicking five goals. The win puts the Tigers in 10th, one point outside the eight, while Manly drop to last place.

Canterbury Bulldogs 28 drew with Penrith Panthers 28
A last second Frank Kuresa try secured a draw for Canterbury and denied Penrith first place for the second straight week. The Panthers led 18-0 after 18 minutes and later by 12 and 10 but couldn’t hold back the Bulldogs. Canterbury finish the round in fifth and in the hunt for the top four, while Penrith sit in third, one point behind first.

Parramatta Eels 32 def. St George Illawarra Dragons 28
Two tries in the final 10 minutes capped off a high scoring comeback win for Parramatta. The Eels trailed 22-12 at half time before fighting back to level the scores in the 43rd minute. The Dragons pushed the lead back to six before JT Nabetelevu and Joseph Taipari scored late to seal it. The Dragons now sit in ninth, one point out of the top eight, while Parramatta are six points out. Debutants: Max Feagai (St George Illawarra).

Cronulla Sharks 20 drew with South Sydney Rabbitohs 20
Cronulla and South Sydney played out the second draw of Round 20 in an entertaining contest. The Rabbitohs shot out to a 16-0 lead shortly after half time with the Sharks storming back to level the scores in the 52nd minute. They took the lead for the first time in the final 10 minutes through Josh Delailoa, before Souths captain Nicholas Mougios scored in the 68th minute to tie the game. Despite the draw, Cronulla moved back into first. They haven’t won a game since Round 15.

Newcastle Knights 22 def. Sydney Roosters 12
Newcastle snapped a two-game losing streak with a strong 10-point win over the second-placed Roosters. The Knights led 22-0 at half time and, despite not scoring in the second half themselves, restricted the Roosters to just two tries. The win keeps Newcastle well and truly alive in the race for the top four, while the Roosters drop from first to second. Debutants: Onosai Auina (Newcastle).

North Sydney Bears 17 def. Victora Thunderbolts 16
A Corey Fenning field goal secured North Sydney’s second win of 2019 and lifted them out of last place. The Bears led 10-0 early before the Thunderbolts wrestled back a 6-point lead with 20 minutes to play. Jonathan Mitsias’ second try of the game put North Sydney level, with Fenning kicking the match winner five minutes later.
