Junior Warriors’ halfback Chanel Harris-Tavita has received the club’s top under-20 award at their presentation evening last night.
The year 18-year old Mount Wellington junior was a standout in a tough season for the Warriors and was named their NYC Player of the Year, receiving the Sonny Fai Medal.
He finished the year with 6 tries, 10 try assists, 14 line break assists and 3 40/20s from 21 games.
17-year old second rower Tyler Slade, who started 8 of his 13 games, was named Rookie of the Year, while the club’s co-captain Kenese Kenese received the Clubman of the Year award.
