Some of the best Australian-based Kiwi players will face off on the Gold Coast tomorrow on the final day of the New Zealand Rugby League’s under-18 Taurahere camp.

The game, between the squads made up of New South Wales and Queensland-based players, will be played tomorrow (Wednesday July 6), at the Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre at 11am.

The camp, which first ran in 2014, brings together players who were either born in Australia but are of New Zealand heritage, players who moved to Australia at a young age or players who moved to Australia as teenagers to join NRL clubs.

The players have spent the last few days being immersed in “te iwi kiwi” culture.

A number of players in the both squads have played Holden Cup in 2016, including Manase Fainu, George Francis, Sione Hopoate, Tevita Funa, Phoenix Hunt, John Tuivaiti, Jesse Arthars, Api Noema-Matenga and Kobe Tararo.
