The 2012 Schoolboy Cup, known as the GIO Schoolboy Cup, was the 38th staging of Australia’s premier secondary schools competition.
The Southern Conference (ACT/NSW) featured 12 teams, split into three pools and playing each other once. Farrer Memorial Agricultural High were admitted into the competition, replacing St Dominic’s College Penrith.
The top side in each pool was then joined by the Queensland champions, Keebra Park State High, in the national semi finals.
On 2 September, Patrician Brothers’ College Blacktown defeated Endeavour Sports High in the final, winning their first Schoolboy Cup.
