Burleigh were dominant once again in a 28-point win over the Pride. The ladder leaders ran in eight tries, including a hat trick to winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira. Burleigh, who have won six straight, remain in first place on points differential, while the Pride have lost five in a row and risk slipping out of the top eight.

Redcliffe Dolphins 26 def. CQ Capras 22
Redcliffe recorded back-to-back wins for the first time in 2019 with a four-point victory over the Capras. The scores were level at 22-all until Dolphins’ winger Ben Robinson-Patch scored the match winner in the 68th minute. The win moves Redcliffe away from last place, while the loss puts a massive dent in the Capras’ finals hopes.

Mackay Cutters 36 def. Norths Devils 12
A dominant second half saw Mackay defeat Norths and secure their place in the finals. Locked at 12-all at half time, the Cutters scored 24 unanswered points after the intermission. The win keeps Mackay in the hunt for a top four finish, while the Devils drop to sixth.

Souths Logan Magpies 28 def. Ipswich Jets 24
Souths Logan held off a late fight back by Ipswich to pick up their sixth win of the season. The Magpies scored five tries in the victory, with Myphala Ah Chong and Cruise Ten both bagging doubles. Souths Logan, who sit 11th, will fall short of the finals in 2019, while Ipswich remain one-point ahead of last place.

Townsville Blackhawks 28 def. Sunshine Coast Falcons 10
Townsville continued their nine-game unbeaten streak with a 18-point win over the Sunshine Coast. After a tight 40 minutes, the Blackhawks pulled away in the final 20 with three tries. Townsville sit in third and remain in touch with the minor premiership, while the Sunshine Coast are in fourth, two points ahead of Mackay. Debutants: Aaron Moore (Townsville).

Wynnum Manly Seagulls 72 def. Western Mustangs 6
For the second week in a row, Wynnum Manly have blown their opponents off the park, this time defeating the Mustangs by 66 points. The Seagulls, who have won seven in a row, scored 14 tries, with Ryan O’Keefe, David Quinlan and Braden Whittaker all grabbing doubles. Wynnum are level with Burleigh on points by sit second on points differential.

Easts Tigers 23 def. Tweed Heads Seagulls 22
A Dray Ngatuere-Wroe field goal gave Easts their first win since Round 15 and moved them into seventh on the ladder. After a close first half, Seagulls opened up an eight-point lead before the Tigers clawed themselves back into the contest. They levelled the scores with 15 minutes to play, with Ngatuere-Wroe kicking the winner in the 65th minute.
