The Wests Tigers 14-year association with Keebra Park State High School has come to an end after the school struck a three-year deal with the Canterbury Bulldogs.
The Gold Coast school is one of countries biggest rugby league nurseries, with 11 former students alone taking the field for various clubs during Round 1 of the NYC season.
Since 2005, the school has appeared in six ARL Schoolboy Cup finals, winning in 2009 and 2013.
The Tigers association with the school has seen the likes of Benji Marshall, Rangi Chase, Ben Murdoch-Masila and Robert Lui play first grade for the club.
Current Bulldogs forward and New Zealand international Greg Eastwood attended the school before making his debut for the Brisbane Broncos as an 18-year old in 2005.
The opportunity and development pathway available to Keebra Park student athletes will remain the best in the country. With the disbandment of the NYC system in 2018, our graduates will still be in a NRL club setting. This means, our graduates will receive top quality coaching and access to some of the best facilities in the country all under the watchful eyes of an NRL coach.
