Former Point Chevalier Pirates coach Grant Pocklington has been appointed head coach of the Warriors NYC side for 2017.

Pocklington, who lead the Pirates to three straight Fox Memorial titles from 2013 to 2015, was a member of Stacey Jones’ Intrust Super Premiership coaching staff in 2016 and was also an assistant coach for the Kiwi Ferns.

The Warriors finished 2016 in 14th place, their lowest ever finish in the NYC, missing the finals for the first time.
