Sironen started in the second row and scored a try in the New South Wales under-20 side 36-22 win over Queensland in July. The son of Tigers’ legend Paul Sironen, Bayley played 9 games for the Wests Tigers NYC side and spent time playing for the club’s Intrust Super Premiership side.

U18 Player of the Year – Sean O’Sullivan (Penrith Panthers)
It was a big year for Penrith’s Sean O’Sullivan. The classy halfback represented NSW U18 in their big win over Queensland, was selected for the Australian Schoolboys, won the state and national titles with the Panthers and made his NYC debut for the club, playing 3 games in 2016.

U16 Player of the Year – Lindsay Smith (Penrith Panthers)
Another winner from the Panthers, Smith played off the bench in NSW under-16’s win over Queensland, which broke a two-year drought, and was an integral part of Penrith’s team which finished one game away from the Harold Matthews Cup Grand Final.
