The Norths Devils were rarely troubled by Burleigh in Saturday’s FOGS Colts Challenge Elimination Final. The Devils scored eight tries in the 28-point victory and look a dangerous team to face in this finals series. The victory ends Burleigh’s season, the defending Premiers bowing out in Week 1, after finishing the year in 5th.
In the Qualifying Final, Redcliffe held on to defeat Easts by two points in a low scoring affair. After trailing early, the Dolphins fought back to lead by 10, before the Tigers got within two points in the final 20 minutes. The win sets up a meeting with minor premiers Wynnum, while Easts face Norths in an elimination game.
