Former St George Illawarra Dragons halfback Mathew Head will return to the club as their NYC coach in 2016.
Head takes over from Ben Hornby who becomes a full time NRL assistant coach with the Dragons.
For the last three seasons, Head has coached the Balmain Tigers SG Ball side, winning the competition in 2013.
Along with his SG Ball duties, Head has also coached the NSW Women’s side and has been a member of the ABC’s rugby league commentary team.
Head had two stints at the Dragons (2003-07, 2009), playing 67 games, and spent time with Hull F.C. (2007) and the Wests Tigers (2008).
